Hey. I'm Charles Idriss Sterling. 18. A legacy of Athena and Poseidon. The older brother of Kath. I'd like you to call me Idriss, since it's my nickname after all.

“You guys are growing up so fast.” Her mother sighed as she pushed the last pin in place unto the dark locks of Katherina’s hair.

The longing and sadness coloured her mother’s tone made the younger lady cast a surprised look upon her mother’s reflection at the mirror. Jennina smiled upon her daughter—her eyes are shining, as if she were trying to held her tears back.

Jennander Headcanon #11: Kath

Since it wasn’t the first time, I was somewhat ready for it.

My hand was once again her stress ball, and I remember feeling glad that it was my left that she gripped instead of my dominant hand. She managed to find new obscenities to yell at me as the hours trickled by, cursing me for getting her into the situation, vowing to lifelong abstinence and screaming just about anything that came to mind. The fact that I found her verbal abuse mildly amusing probably didn’t help improve her mood at all. In fact, it most likely was the reason why she started using my arm as her personal punching bag.

Thank the gods it didn’t last as long as the time before. Soon my arms were laden with her. Her, tiny and barely weighing anything, wrapped in a little bundle. There wasn’t much you could tell from, but I convinced myself that she took after Jenn more.

And then she was stolen from my grasp by her now-silent mother. Yes, I nodded in my head. Definitely Mummy’s girl. Her mouth, hair color, face shape - all Jenn’s. I liked that. Impeccable timing as well, just like Mum because that was the moment she chose to open her eyes.

Grey irises. The woman who held her smiled serenely, a far cry from what she had been like earlier. Inaudible words were whispered and a kiss planted on our little girl’s forehead before she was handed back to me. That didn’t last long either as soon she was whisked away. And then we were alone. Just her and me.

I could tell that she was about to drift off, but I couldn’t resist just one jibe:

“Lifelong abstinence? Really?”

Somewhere in the future: Jennander Headcanon

“Gah,” She murmured grudgingly. She did not really understand why are they screaming in the first place. “Get out of here.” She shot at Lex. “Just get my robe.” Said she, momentarily forgetting that her robe is in the possession of some Bird Brain named Alexander Sterling.

He grinned, a glint in his eyes makes Jenn want to shiver, “You want your robe?”

“Yes!” She hissed at him, “And don’t look, sweet cheesus.”

“Well,” he smirk his naughtiest smirk. “I have your robe.” He extends his arm towards Jenn with her robe, unfortunately—for Jenn—it’s not within her reaching point.

She glared at him, “Dammit Lex, hand it to me!”

He laughed, amused by her irritation. “Hand it to me or I swear I will drown you.”

He rolled his eyes, “Right. In the bathroom. You’ll drown me in a bathroom.”

In her irritation, she blow the sink which at the side of him and said, “Are you testing me?” Tilting her head dangerously.

“Now now, Gilbert, let’s not vandalize other people’s property.” He flashed his grin again, “Be nice.”

“Then hand me the damn robe.”

His grin became smug. “What do I get in return, Katherina?”

They stared—glower, on Jenn’s part—in silence and said, “How about a kiss?” He grinned, finally having his own way.

“Something happened.” Jenn whispered urgently to her husband while she pulled him in the kitchen, looking all stressed and serious. The children tease each other on the living room. Kath is blocking her brother’s taunts and everything seemed so noisy.

“What happened?” Alexander asked, frowning at his wife’s urgent tone. She rarely use that tone, and this worries him. It means something went really wrong.

“Lou’s got attacked. An empousa, they said.” Fear is visible to her eyes.

“What?” Alexander’s eyes widen, this is not supposed to be natural.

They stared to in each other’s eyes, reflecting their own horror. They looked at the door that leads to the living room, where their endangered children have fun.

“They’re not safe in this house hold, Alexander.” She whispered, scared. “Not now, not ever.”
